Esports organization XSET signs Bryan “Brycent” Johnson as its pioneering web3 gaming content creator, expanding its reach into the rapidly growing web3 gaming sector.
Prominent esports organization XSET has welcomed Bryan “Brycent” Johnson as its inaugural web3 gaming content creator, while he continues to be represented by Gary Vaynerchuk’s VaynerSports talent management firm.
Boasting 295,000 followers on various social media platforms, Brycent transitioned from a software engineer to a full-time web3 gaming content creator after discovering a gap in the market.
During an interview, Brycent revealed that he started earning more from playing video games and generating content on web3 gaming than from his software engineering career.
He initially made a name for himself streaming and playing the once-popular Axie Infinity.
After fully committing to web3 gaming, he received an encouraging message from Gary Vee, whom he described as the most productive and positive person he has ever encountered.
At XSET, Brycent intends to focus on web3 gaming and host weekly tournaments for Deadrop, a web3 first-person shooter developed by gaming personality, Dr. Disrespect. His approach prioritizes gameplay over token prices or NFT speculation, emphasizing social connectivity in gaming.
He compared the development of web3 gaming to the NBA, noting that it took time for the league’s value to be established before basketball cards were introduced.
Founded by former FaZe Clan president Greg Selkoe, XSET is home to numerous popular creators, including rapper Swae Lee, NASCAR driver Anthony Alfredo, gaming creator Avori, and others.
The organization also supports a professional Apex Legends team and gaming talent in titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone and iRacing.
By collaborating with Brycent, XSET follows in the footsteps of fellow esports organizations like 100 Thieves and TSM, exploring the growing world of web3 gaming.
Selkoe praised Brycent’s dedication to promoting the intersection of gaming and web3 in a statement, highlighting his passion for educating and inspiring the gaming community.
He expressed confidence that Brycent’s authenticity and work ethic make him an ideal fit for XSET, which aims to champion voices and gamers driving change and innovation within the industry.
